In working with couples, it's not uncommon for one partner to play a less active role. But what about when the partner is completely unengaged in the financial planning process, both verbally and behaviorally? This presentation focuses on providing advisors the insights to working with and drawing out the unengaged partner. By learning effective strategies, advisors will be able to empower their clients and cultivate a greater sense of financial well-being for their couples. Participants will learn contributing factors that may lead to lack of engagement in the financial planning process, key questions and scripts for how to draw clients into the meeting and 3 strategies, and tools for helping their unengaged client take a more active role outside of meetings.
